Summary

Tom joined the firm in 1962 upon his graduation from the University of Michigan Law School where he was a member of the Michigan Law Review. He graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts in 1959, receiving his B.A. with honors in political science. In 1969 Tom was appointed to the Hamilton County Municipal Court. He was elected to that court in 1969 and 1971. In 1974 he was elected to the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. Upon returning to the firm as partner in 1978, Tom had been advising business clients on corporate, contractual, regulatory and commercial matters. He also had transactional experience, representing buyers and sellers of businesses, and lenders and borrowers in a variety of financings. He served as Trustee Emeritus of the Cincinnati Arts Association, Board of Directors for the Medical Center Fund of Cincinnati, Board of Trustees for the Foundation for Ohio River Education and Commissioner of the Hamilton County Public Defender Commission. Tom was listed in the 2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America and also had been chosen as an Ohio Super Lawyer by Cincinnati Magazine.
