Tammara is a litigator who routinely represents clients in matters involving commercial litigation. Since joining Taft in 2013, Tammara has also gained experience handling multijurisdictional litigation involving products liability, civil forfeiture actions connected to criminal activity and eminent domain matters. She has experience arguing in state and federal courts and even the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Drawing on experience working as a news producer, Tammara has an interest in helping media companies address common and complex First Amendment issues, crisis management situations, copyright litigation, right of publicity issues, internet litigation and privacy and data security rules. Tammara’s unique background and success troubleshooting litigation and crisis situations are among the reasons why she has been named a Rising Star by Indiana Super Lawyers two years in a row.
In addition to her work as a litigator, Tammara plays an active role with several community organizations. She has previously served as a board member for the Lupus Foundation of America, acting as Treasurer and continues to volunteer every year for the Annual Walk to End Lupus Now. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Indianapolis and a member of OPTIONS 15 through the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana. Tammara currently serves on the board of the Indiana Repertory Theatre and the advisory council for the IRT’s young professional group, Offscript. Tammara has even found herself back in the interviewing chair as a moderator for conferences and panels, including a talk she moderated with Glamour Woman of the Year-winning executive Andrea Jung during the 2015 Annual Power of Women’s Fund Philanthropy. Tammara was selected as one of Taft's two delegates for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity's Pathfinder Program 2019.
Tammara received her J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. She received an M.A. in Strategic Communications and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism.
