Sanaa has experience representing small business employers in unemployment cases and appeals before the Illinois Department of Employment Security, counseling clients on proactive strategies to help limit their unemployment insurance liability and employment matters, including investigations, discrimination and other Title VII issues. Sanaa has also handled matters before the Illinois Department of Human Rights.
Prior to joining Taft, Sanaa gained experience at several employment-focused firms. She also served as a law clerk for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Sanaa received her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from DePaul University College of Law, where she received a CALI award for Federal Income Taxation, and her B.S. in business administration from Roosevelt University.
