Riya A. Kurian

Associate Cleveland

Summary

Riya is an associate in Taft’s Commercial Litigation practice. She has experience with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, propounding and responding to discovery, brief and motion writing, pleadings preparation, general legal research and writing projects, and court appearances.

Prior to joining Taft, Riya was an associate with a well-known regional law firm and focused on assisting publicly traded and privately held companies in a wide range of business disputes, including contract, commercial, real estate, trademark, and patent litigation.

Riya earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she was senior editor for the Journal of International Law. While in law school, she also interned at the International Bar Association in London, England. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and French from Rockhurst University. Riya also worked as an English Language Assistant with the French Ministry of National Education in Vierzon, France.
