Merry Pieper

Merry joined Taft in 2006 as a paralegal in the Cleveland Real Estate practice group.

Widely versed in the industry, Merry brings a wealth of experience to her role. Also a licensed real estate agent, Merry demonstrates a keen eye for detail relating to the intricacies involved in drafting, negotiation and closing of real estate transactions. Her work involves reviewing title and survey matters, assisting in the successful closing of real estate deals, drafting deeds and other real estate documents, due diligence review, assisting with closing issues and legal research regarding real estate procedures/practices in other states. Merry also has extensive knowledge of corporate and commercial business practices, including drafting corporate and partnership formation and dissolution documents, resolutions and preparation of Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) financing statements.

Merry began her career as a legal assistant for a small law firm that later acquired a title company. She worked for the title company preparing judicial reports, title commitments, settlement statements and handling closings. She also has experience working in the Real Estate practice group of a prominent Cleveland B2B law firm.
