Summary

Lena is an associate specializing in the areas of Mergers and Acquisitions, Mezzanine Finance, and Private Equity. She also concentrates on regulatory work within Cannabis and Gaming industries as well as the emerging industry of Entheogens.

Prior to re-joining Taft Chicago as an associate, Lena most recently served as a federal appellate law clerk to the Hon. Charles R. Wilson, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. During law school, Lena also gained experience as a two-time summer associate with the firm.

Lena’s community engagement includes serving on the Associate Board of Girls Inc. of Chicago.

Lena earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law where she made the Dean’s List and received awards for oral advocacy and negotiation skills. While in law school, Lena served as a Senior Staff Editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law. Prior to law school, Lena worked in Business Development in Major League Baseball. Lena received her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame with high honors, and was a thrower and two-year captain of the Track & Field team.
