LaQues is an associate in Taft’s Real Estate practice. She has experience in the defense of traditional product defect claims, general tort claims, chemical exposure, breach of contract claims, and commercial disputes. She has worked on matters at both the state and federal level across the automotive, consumer products, service, and chemical manufacturing industries. Her experience encompasses all aspects of litigation, managing and analyzing discovery, and brief and motion practice.
LaQues' previous legal experience includes serving as a judicial extern to Judge Marianne Hemmeter of the Delaware County Municipal Court, serving as a legal intern for a national Fortune 100 insurance company, and as a legal project associate for a national human capital management company. Notably, her prior role in Human Resources Management also serves as a benefit to clients of all industries. Before attending law school, LaQues worked as a fifth-grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in Nashville, Tennessee.
