LaQues is an associate at Taft, where she focuses her practice on real estate and construction matters. She represents clients in transactions related to the acquisition, disposition, leasing, development, and financing of commercial real estate. LaQues also has experience in negotiating and drafting construction contracts.
LaQues' previous legal experience includes serving as a judicial extern to Judge Marianne Hemmeter of the Delaware County Municipal Court, serving as a legal intern for a national Fortune 100 insurance company, and as a legal project associate for a national human capital management company. Notably, her prior role in Human Resources Management also serves as a benefit to clients of all industries. Before attending law school, LaQues worked as a fifth-grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in Nashville, Tennessee.
