Julie’s goal is to infuse the voice of the client into her work at Taft. As chief client officer, Julie drives new business development and the expansion of existing clients through business planning, sales training, and coaching. She facilitates feedback conversations with key clients and develops strategies and tactics to help clients reach their goals by mobilizing lawyer-led teams to tackle complex business issues.
With over two decades of experience coaching high-performing individuals on business development and leadership strategies, Julie helps lawyers navigate the intersection of business and law to ultimately grow their practices, improve financial results and spark innovation. As a client strategist and diplomat, Julie is key in expanding client relationships by bridging the gap between attorney and client.
Before Taft's combination with Briggs and Morgan, Julie was Briggs’ director of client development and marketing. She first joined Briggs as a business development strategist and executive coach, where she created the Aspire program, a one-on-one coaching curriculum that focused on eight core behavioral competencies.
Prior to joining Briggs, Julie worked at an AmLaw 100 firm, where she led the planning and implementation of business development, marketing and communications strategies for more than 300 attorneys across practice areas and offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Julie began her career in sports marketing where she managed professional athletes on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and in the NFL and NBA.
