Summary

As an attorney in Taft’s Tax practice group, Jessica represents employers in all of their employee benefits needs. Her experience includes advising clients on compliance issues related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) and Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). Jessica developed a special interest in advising employers on ACA compliance and responding to the Internal Revenue Service’s proposed ACA penalty assessments.

Prior to joining Taft, Jessica was an attorney at a labor and employment firm in Indianapolis, where she provided HIPAA trainings for clients, assisted clients with governmental and internal compliance audits, worked with clients to correct plan errors and recommended plan adjustments.
