Summary
Jeremy is an experienced trial attorney and has conducted over 15 complex felony jury trials in both state and federal court. Prior to joining Taft, Jeremy was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of Indiana, where he led the prosecution of federal drug trafficking and firearms offenses, conspiracy, and violations of the Hobbs Act. He also participated in public corruption investigations involving money laundering, wire fraud, and bribery.
Known for his unique abilities for connecting with juries, Jeremy also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County (Atlanta), one of the busiest criminal court circuits in Georgia. While in this capacity, he prosecuted thousands of felony cases and conducted various types of complex jury trials involving murder, rape, armed robbery, the illegal sale of drugs, organized gangs, and serious injury by vehicle cases.
Jeremy is also an Adjunct Law Professor at Indiana University (IU) McKinney School of Law teaching subjects in criminal law, ethics, and supervising externship placements. As a proud three-time alumnus of IU, Jeremy serves on the IU Board of Trustees.
Prior to his legal career, Jeremy was a higher education administrator. While in California, he utilized his skills to advance education initiatives at UCLA, University of Southern California, and Stanford University.
Active in the Indianapolis community, with special interest in the development of young minds and the city’s future, Jeremy is the chairman of the board of directors for Iibada Dance Company, participates in service initiatives geared towards college readiness and career planning for current Indianapolis Public Schools students, and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. Additionally, he serves as a tutor with School on Wheels for children experiencing homelessness.
