Summary

James has a broad business law practice representing a variety of privately-held companies and their owners. He works with clients on issues encompassing the entire life cycle of businesses, including entity formation, financing, contracts, commercial lending, business disputes, and sales. James has extensive experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, secured transactions, real estate, tax, estate planning, and intellectual property.

James received his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, graduating in the top ten of his class and receiving a Certificate in Tax Law. He was awarded the Hugh L. Dick Award for Excellence in Taxation, having achieved the top-grade point average in the field. James was a member of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal, and served as a lead article editor. In the community, he serves as the Treasurer of the Erika’s Lighthouse Young Adult Board, a non-profit organization that educates school communities about adolescent depression.
