Darrin is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property group. Darrin earned a B.S. in electrical/computer engineering with honors from the United States Air Force Academy. As a decorated U.S. Air Force Lieutenant/Captain, Darrin served as a lead contract negotiator, where he was responsible for the negotiation and management of Department of Defense contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Darrin worked with various U.S. Air Force organizations, including Missile and Space Warning System Program Office (ESC/SR), $850M Airspace Management System Program Office (ESC/TG), Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) Program Office (ESC/TD), and research and development programs for Rome Air Development Center, Air Force Geophysics Laboratory and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (ESC/PKR).
After serving in the Air Force, Darrin earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School (HLS), where he participated in the Journal of Law and Technology and Committee on Sports and Entertainment Law. As a law clerk during his tenure at HLS and as a patent attorney since graduating from HLS, Darrin has more than 20 years of intellectual property prosecution, litigation and licensing experience for various clients in the mechanical, computer, electronic, telecommunication and medical industries.
