Summary
April represents clients in Ohio and neighboring states on a wide range of environmental, energy, and natural resources matters.
April has managed all aspects of state and/or federal environmental litigation matters and routinely appears before various regulatory agencies, including Ohio EPA, U.S. EPA, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio Power Siting Board, Ohio Reclamation Commission, Ohio Environmental Review Appeals Commission, Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Prior to joining Taft, April served as a partner at her self-founded firm for over 12 years. The law group counseled multiple long-term business and industry clients. The firm offered regulatory, transaction, and litigation services for environmental, energy, and natural resources matters.
Before founding her own firm, April was a partner and chair of the environmental practice group for a large Columbus-based law firm. Prior to that, April served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Ohio Attorney General’s Environmental Enforcement Section where she represented the Division of Air Pollution Control at Ohio EPA.
