Alexander Shiffman

Alexander focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, finance, and emerging growth companies. He advises clients in complex, tax-driven transactions with a focus on real estate and private equity investment. Alex works with clients to tailor transaction structures to meet specific tax objectives, whether by minimizing gain, deferring income altogether, or otherwise crafting the maximum tax advantage for their unique circumstances. His clients include corporations (public and private), partnerships, other pass-through entities, and individuals.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex served as an associate at Paul Hastings LLP of New York where he represented large, institutional clients on a variety of complex transactional matters in the areas of leveraged finance, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions.
