On June 7, Mark J. Valponi will participate in a panel discussion on Healthcare Reform. The seminar is co-sponsored by Taft and Benefit Focus and will take place from 8-11 a.m. at Lockkeepers, 8001 Rockside Road in Valley View, Ohio. Panelists will address the federal healthcare law under the combined framework of the the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act. The program will shed light on:
(1) the time schedule that impacts the responsibilities of employers;
(2) the workforce structure, particularly concerning variable hour employees; and
(3) the premium mandates that will have tax implications for employers.
Valponi is a partner in the Cleveland office of Taft and is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment and Litigation practice groups. He primarily represents the management side of public and private sector companies, advising them on a broad range of important labor and employment issues so that their organizations are structured and monitored for optimum efficiency and advantage.
