The firm’s Patent Prosecution group has been named in the top 1% of top performing firms according to Patexia, Inc.’s first annual Patent Prosecution Intelligence Report.

Patexia evaluated more than 5,000 law firms to identify the top law firms based on a number of metrics such as activity, success and efficiency. Utilizing data from more than 1.6 million patents issued over the last five years (January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2018), the comprehensive report covered the top 1000 most active law firms and companies.

In order to establish the list of top law firms and companies, Patexia analyzed and reviewed many different metrics including filing activity, pendency of applications, number of extensions requested, number of office actions, allowance rate, changes in the claim language and length of the claims. They compared those metrics and measured them against the average for different firms as well as Art Units at the USPTO.
