Taft Stettinius & Hollister is pleased to announce the addition of three associate attorneys in the Chicago office. Lamis Eli, Jeffrey Kuo and Rashad Simmons are members of the Intellectual Property practice focusing on litigation.
Ms. Eli’s practice focuses on intellectual property prosecution and litigation, with a particular concentration on trademark, utility patents and copyright matters. She works directly with clients to learn their business goals and provides innovative, cost-effective resolutions, counseling them through every step to provide customized intellectual property strategies to protect their most valuable resources. She has a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, cum laude, and a B.S. from Northwestern University.
Kuo has a multi-faceted practice focusing on intellectual property litigation and portfolio management, as well as counseling clients on privacy and cybersecurity issues. Prior to joining Taft, Kuo worked in-house at an information security company that was placed in the leaders quadrant by Gartner, Inc. He received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Simmons concentrates his practice on complex civil and commercial litigation, including intellectual property, employment litigation, products liability, personal injury, and class action matters. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he competed on the moot court and trial advocacy teams, and served as a clerk at the Wisconsin Supreme Court and U.S. Department of Justice. Simmons received his undergraduate degree in business, magna cum laude, from Michigan State University.
