Newsome Joins The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40

Taft Cleveland associate Allison Smith Newsome recently accepted an invitation for membership in The National Black Lawyers – Top 40 Under 40. In order to be considered for membership, a candidate must have an outstanding reputation among the legal community, notable achievements and verdicts as a lawyer, and must be nominated for the position. The NBL then hand-selects influential lawyers who have a reputation for providing excellent legal representation and who are leaders in their respective practice areas. 

The National Black Lawyers is an invitation-only professional development organization that maintains a national network of the top African American attorneys in each state. For more information about the NBL, visit here.

Newsome focuses her practice on the representation of hospitals, physician groups, and other health care organizations regarding the regulatory, transactional, and business aspects of health care law. Among other areas, she advises these clients on regulatory matters, including HIPAA, Stark, and Anti-Kickback issues.
