Miller Selected for Staff Judge Advocate Position

Taft Stettinius & Hollister announces that Adam C. Miller has been selected by the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG Corps) General Officer Steering Committee in Washington D.C., for the Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) position with the 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), a large Army Reserve logistics command that serves the upper Midwestern states of Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. The SJA duty is a senior position of responsibility within the U.S. Army Reserve JAG Corps organization.

A 19 year Army Reserve officer, Miller was appointed 1LT by Presidential Direct Commission in 1996. Miller is a board member with the Operation Legal Help Ohio, a statewide pro-bono Veterans' legal service project, and presently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve. In addition, he is a U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps Officer (1996-present) and served with the 10th Mountain Division during his deployment to Afghanistan in 2004. An adjunct instructor (Reserve Component - National Security Course) for the National Defense University in Washington, D.C., Miller will graduate from the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pa., in 2017.

Miller focuses his law practice on representing public governmental entities, including local, city and exempted village school districts, single and multi-county educational service centers, joint vocational school districts and statewide educational associations. In addition to his legal career, he is a current elected school board member, former public school teacher and superintendent of schools.

About the 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary)
The 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) is located on the Fort Des Moines Joint Reserve Complex in Des Moines, Iowa. The command provides trained and ready forces in support of global contingency operations. On order, the 103rd ESC is prepared to deploy and provide command and control to all assigned, attached, and operationally controlled units and will provide sustainment planning, guidance and support to forces in the area of operations.
