Taft attorney Jonathan McPike will speak at the 5th Annual Operations for Alternatives conference in Miami, Fla., to be held March 1-2. He will be a panelist for a discussion on the 2018 SEC exams and priorities.
McPike focuses his practice on representing private equity fund sponsors and managers in the formation and operation of private equity funds and in the acquisition and disposition of their respective portfolio companies. In addition, he also advises investors in connection with prospective investments in private equity funds and other corporate clients with respect to compliance with U.S. federal and state securities and blue sky laws in connection with the offering and sale of securities.
Before joining Taft, McPike was an attorney in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Before entering private practice with Kirkland & Ellis LLP, he served as a law clerk for then-Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard on the Indiana Supreme Court.
