Glass Featured in the IndyStar

Taft partner Fred Glass was recently featured in the article “Another use for NIL: Have Hoosier athletes promote Indiana charities,” which was published by the IndyStar on March 30, 2022. The article discusses how Hoosiers For Good will utilize the new NIL policy for good. The nonprofit creates partnerships between IU student-athletes and charitable organinzations in-state. Glass and Pete Yonkman, Cook Group President, will help those partnerships flow acting as a third-party support.

“We’re going to occupy a charitable space,” Glass told IndyStar. “Our goal is to further charitable causes in Indiana by promoting those charities, the people they serve and by extension, Indiana communities. We’re going to do that by using this new tool of name, image and likeness to engage student-athletes in helping promote those charities.” Read the article here (subscription required).

Glass is a partner at Taft and focuses his practice on business law as well as issues involving sports/media/entertainment, higher education, employment, and government matters. Prior to joining Taft, he served as an Indiana University vice president and the director of intercollegiate athletics for nearly 12 years.
