COLUMBUS, OHIO (June 19, 2012) Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Celia Medd Kilgard has joined the firm as an associate in the Litigation Department.
Prior to joining Taft, Ms. Kilgard was Staff Attorney to the Honorable Richard A. Frye in Franklin County Court of Common Pleas as well as Staff Attorney to the Honorable Timothy S. Horton. Ms. Kilgard also has prior experience with the Franklin County Domestic and Juvenile Court.
Ms. Kilgard received her J.D. from Capital University Law School in 2009 and served as President of the Women’s Law Association. She received the 2009 National Association of Women Lawyers’ Award (“NAWL”). In addition, she served as a student intern at the Capital University Family Advocacy Clinic. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University.
Ms. Kilgard is a member of the Columbus Bar Association’s 2012 Barrister’s Leadership Program and volunteers as a Judge for the National Center for Adoption Law and Policy’s National Moot Court Competition. Recently, she served as a tennis coach for the Special Olympics through Goodwill Industries.
