Canton Presents at OSBA CLE Program
Taft partner Doreen Canton presented at the Ohio State Bar Association CLE program "ACTL Winning at Trial 2016" on Nov. 17. The seminar covered the art of the trial lawyer, with an emphasis on real courtroom situations. Canton spoke on voir dire and jury selection and participated in an ethics panel discussion.
Canton is a member of Taft's Labor & Employment group and has advised and represented private and public employers in all areas of labor and employment law. She has a great deal of jury trial experience and has tried many Title VII, Title IX and state law claims, including age, sex, race, disability and national origin discrimination, harassment, retaliation, defamation and contract claims to defense verdicts. She is a member of the Cincinnati Management Lawyers Association and the American Employment Law Council, both organizations of senior management employment attorneys, and she is also an elected fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
