Canny Receives Indiana Paralegal Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award

Taft paralegal Cathy Canny has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indiana Paralegal Association (IPA). The award was established to recognize those paralegals who have truly pioneered the paralegal profession and stayed through its evolution for many years. Canny is one of only nine paralegals in Indiana who have received this award. She was recognized at the IPA’s 2020 Awards Presentation on Oct. 21.

Canny has more than 40 years of paralegal experience, primarily in the area of litigation, with significant experience with large and complex litigation cases. Canny has been a presenter on litigation, leadership, technology, ethics, regulation, and other issues relating to the paralegal profession. She has received numerous recognitions including Paralegal of the Year Award by the Indianapolis Bar Association, Associate Distinguished Fellow by the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, Affiliate Member Award by the Indiana State Bar Association, and Outstanding Board Member by the Indiana Paralegal Association.
