Taft attorney Cory Brennan was quoted in the article "Not-So-Cerebral Sharing of Mental Health Data Hits Millions." The article provides details related to a breach of sensitive data through the use of website tracking tools that was discovered by San Francisco-based company “Cerebral.” The provider of online mental health services notified over three million individuals that the company shared sensitive information related to its website users with third parties like Google, Facebook, and TikTok. Brennan noted that “the type of information that is particularly concerning in this situation is pretty clear and exactly what we advise clients who are using third-party tracking technologies to be aware of.”
