Lessons from Start-ups: Building a Brand via Social Media

When resources are tight, building a strong personal and company brand via social media could be critical to the success of your start-up.  Rob will discuss lessons learned from working with over 50 start-up companies at the Brandery and the trials and travails of leveraging social media.

Rob McDonald is a co-founder of The Brandery, routinely a top 10 business accelerator located in Cincinnati, Ohio.  The Brandery has graduated six cohorts of companies, and they have received over $120 million in venture capital financing.  The Brandery’s recipe for success is to work with driven founders to layer inspiring brands on top of powerful technology.  In addition to his work with The Brandery, Rob is the co-founder and co-manages Vine Street Ventures Fund, a venture capital fund dedicated to investing in web and mobile technology companies.  Rob is also a partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister, where he focuses his law practice on mergers and acquisitions, financing, and general corporate work.
