Angel investing supports entrepreneurs in ways that can economically boost an entire region, and it's not as complicated as you may think.
On April 18, Taft partner Robert W. McDonald will moderate a panel of investors from #StartupCincy (CincyTech, Queen City Angels, Vine Street Ventures, Connetic Ventures, Crosley Angels and the Minority Business Accelerator) in a lively session to de-mystify angel investing. You will learn about:
- How to find peers with similar risk tolerance.
- Deal sourcing.
- The importance of available capital in startup ecosystems.
McDonald is a co-founder of The Brandery, routinely a top 10 business accelerator located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Brandery has graduated six cohorts of companies, and they have received over $120 million in venture capital financing. In addition to his work with The Brandery, McDonald is the co-founder of and co-manages Vine Street Ventures Fund, a venture capital fund dedicated to investing in web and mobile technology companies. At Taft, McDonald focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, financing and general corporate work.
