IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an energetic, customer-service focused IT Infrastructure Engineer with experience to join our team in Taft's Minneapolis office.

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer with 5+ years’ experience to support our offices. IT Infrastructure Engineers support our backend infrastructure of systems so our staff and attorneys can access network resources to perform their job functions. Essential Duties:

  • Administer the Windows and Azure environments, providing design, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance services for Domain Controllers, Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, Group Policy, and other critical services supporting the Windows domain environment.
  • Ensure best practices, security, and maintenance are maintained and practiced for all functions of Active Directory and Azure AD, including lifecycle of user objects, groups, permissions, external federation, and managing data synchronization.
  • Administer remote access technologies and outside connections to firm resources, including design, deployment, securing, and lifecycle maintenance for Remote Desktop Services (RDS), VMware Horizon solutions, insuring authentication controls and security hardening are maintained for all systems. Participate in the integration and administration of multifactor authentication.
  • Administer the IP networking environment, providing design, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance services for firewalls, routers, switches, WiFi systems, and interconnects.
  • Administer the IP addressing distribution, subnet configurations, Internet DNS records, and network security requirements between zones.
  • Support and maintain internet connectivity, Wide Area Network connections, interconnects with cloud platforms, and all equipment used to maintain.
  • Provide proactive identification of system resource issues and planning for growth.
  • Provide assistance with design, deployment, and maintenance services for IT infrastructure projects at large including but not limited to storage, servers, virtualization, disaster recovery, email management, VOIP, encryption, vulnerability management, and patch management as assigned.
  • Ensure all design, deployment, configuration, and upgrades are completed with adequate testing, preparation, and support, ensuring all administrative and instructional document is created and maintained throughout the process.
  • Ensure all scheduled operational and maintenance tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Effectively apply troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide timely and relevant in-house escalation support, adhering to ticketing procedures and SLA requirements.
  • Adhere to all IT Department standards and Firm Information Security Policies, including but not limited to change control and maintenance windows.

Requirements:

  • An Associate's degree in Information Technology, related training, or IT certifications that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • 5+ years of work experience in supporting IT infrastructure services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server, including Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and ADFS.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, including IP addressing, switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, and wireless management. (Preferably Cisco)
  • Knowledge in Server hardware, Storage Area Networks, vSphere virtualization, backup and recovery products, and Exchange administration desired.
