The Health Care Practice Area of the firm is an interdepartmental group of over 15 lawyers specializing in the needs of our individual and institutional health care clients, and includes attorneys concentrating in the following areas of law: business and finance, partnerships, tax, real estate, environmental, employment and labor relations, bankruptcy, personal planning, malpractice litigation, insurance, antitrust, regulatory and administrative law, ERISA, third-party reimbursement (including Medicare, Medicaid and private payors) and hospital financing (including tax-exempt bond financing). We currently serve as general counsel or special counsel for numerous general and specialty hospitals in the Midwest and Southwest and for several hundred specialty and multi-specialty physicians' professional corporations and related health care entities and partnerships located primarily in the Midwest and Southeast. We also have extensive experience in providing legal advice to academic medical centers and their affiliated clinical practices, academic departments and other practice entities.
