UJ Bhowmik

UJ is an attorney in Taft’s Minneapolis office and focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions and corporate governance.

Prior to joining Taft, UJ was a summer associate with the firm for two consecutive summers. She also worked with senators, commissioners, and local executives to promote policy change in sustainability, energy efficiency and renewable energy as an International Partnerships project assistant for the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment.

UJ earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and her bachelor’s degree in psychology and communication and media studies from the University of Minnesota. While in law school, UJ served on the University of Minnesota Alumni Association Board of Directors and was the Chair of the University of Minnesota Recreation and Wellness Advisory Board . Additionally, UJ received the nationally recognized CLEA Outstanding Student Director Award for her work at the University of Minnesota Law School’s Business Law Clinic.
