Taft Cleveland Welcomes Three Associates

H. William Beseth joined the Cleveland office as an associate in the Litigation Department.  He graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in finance.  He received his law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2007.

Prior to joining Taft, he was a Judicial Law Clerk for Senior District Judge David D. Dowd, Jr., United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio.  He was also a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Benita Y. Pearson, formerly Magistrate Judge, now District Judge.

Jennifer B. Orr joined Taft’s Cleveland office as an associate in the Litigation Department.  Prior to joining Taft, Ms. Orr was a litigation associate for a large law firm in New York City for more than four years, where she specialized in securities, shareholder derivative, and general commerical litigation.  In addition, she has experience with matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other government investigations.  During her career in New York, Ms. Orr was honored as Empire State Counsel by the New York State Bar Association for excellence and commitment to pro bono service.

Ms. Orr is a 2007 cum laude graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law.  While at law school, she served as Managing Editor of the Case Western Reserve Law Review and was the recipient of the CALI Award for Excellence in Torts.  She is also an honors graduate from The Ohio State University, with a B.A. in anthropology with honors in the liberal arts, graduating in 2003.  She is admitted to practice in Ohio and New York.

Brandi N. Weekley joined Taft’s Cleveland office as an attorney in the Business & Finance Department.  Her areas of focus include mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, commercial business and finance matters, and general corporate law.

Ms. Weekley received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2006, where she graduated summa cum laude with university honors.  She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2010, where she served as the business editor of the Cleveland State Law Review. Prior to joining Taft, Ms. Weekley was a judicial attorney for the Honorable Carla D. Moore in the Ninth District Court of Appeals.
