Taft Ranked 'Highly Recommended Firm' by Benchmark Litigation

Cincinnati, OH – Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP was ranked a “Highly Recommended Firm” in Ohio by Benchmark Litigation, the definitive guide to America’s leading business litigation firms and attorneys. The firm was one of only six Ohio firms awarded the highest ranking. Partner-in-charge Stephen O’Bryan and partner David Wallace, both in the Cleveland office, were recognized as “Litigation Stars.” “Future Stars” named were Marcia Andrew and Jeanne Cors, from Taft’s Cincinnati office, and Majeed Makhlouf, from the firm’s Cleveland office. The firm has nearly 120 trial attorneys appearing every day in state and federal courts and administrative agencies all across the country from the firm’s offices in Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati.

Benchmark focuses exclusively on the US litigation market, conducting extensive face-to-face interviews around the country over a year-long period. O’Bryan was recommended by clients and peers to be “as fine a lawyer as there is in Cleveland” and “the first guy I’d call if I had a legal problem.” Wallace also was noted for his work in the areas of complex business litigation, securities, employment and construction. O’Bryan and Wallace were two of only 19 attorneys recognized in the state as “Litigation Stars.”

In the Cleveland office, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, O’Bryan concentrates his practice on all types of litigation and in public law and environmental matters. Wallace practices in the area of patent litigation, complex business litigation, securities litigation, and construction law.

Named one of the Litigation “Future Stars,” Makhlouf is a skilled trial and appellate litigator in Taft’s Cleveland office who writes and speaks regularly on complex business and commercial litigation, real estate and land use litigation, public law litigation, and appellate litigation. In the Cincinnati office, Andrew is a partner in the Litigation Department and chair of the firm’s Franchise Practice Area, practicing in general commercial litigation. Cors is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department and a member of the Antitrust and Franchise Practices. Makhlouf, Andrews and Cors were three of only 11 attorneys named as Litigation “Future Stars” in Ohio.
