Reddick Mentioned Regarding S.E.A. 443

Taft partner Marci A. Reddick was mentioned in a news release from the Office of the Indiana Secretary of State regarding a new Indiana statute, S.E.A. 443. The law aims to simplify business formation and bring consistency to the rules that govern businesses and business transactions. S.E.A 443 was drafted by the Indiana Business Law Survey Commission and commission members worked actively for its passage; Reddick chairs The Commission and has served as a member since 1990.

Reddick is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Business & Finance groups. She represents clients in all phases of real estate acquisition, sales, finance and development. Reddick is chair of the Indiana Business Law Commission and is a past chair of the Business Law Section of the Indiana State Bar Association. She is President of the Board of Directors of the Fort Harrison Reuse Authority and has served on the board since late 2012. She is also a past chair of the Real Estate and Land Use Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association and chaired Board II of the Marion County Board of Zoning Appeals for eight years. In addition, she served as corporations counsel in the Office of Evan Bayh, Indiana Secretary of State, from 1987-1988 and as an executive assistant to Governor Bayh from 1989-1990, advising him on higher education matters and other areas of state policy.
