Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP announces that Karl D. Camillucci has joined the firm’s Chicago office as an associate in the Real Estate group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of public finance, economic development, land use and zoning, and general state and local governmental representation.

Camillucci represents governmental and nongovernmental clients regarding a broad range of issues, including bond transactions, tax increment financing, economic development incentives, development agreements, land use and zoning entitlements, regulatory compliance, and municipal and constitutional litigation.

Prior to practicing law, Camillucci spent more than nine years in local government and politics. As chief of staff for a New York City council member, he was responsible for the council member’s legislative, fiscal, intergovernmental, political and constituent affairs. Camillucci also served as special assistant to the president of the American Bar Association. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Northwestern University and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, where he also received Senior Research Honors.
