O'Neil to Participate in "Sales, Sales and More Sales" Panel Discussion at ABI Central States Workshop

Taft partner Michael P. O'Neil will participate in a panel discussion on "Sales, Sales and More Sales" on June 18 at the American Bankruptcy Institute's 23rd Annual Central States Bankruptcy Workshop in Lake Geneva, Wis.

Discussion topics will include:

  • § 363 sale best practices to avoid Family Christian pitfalls.
  • Notice issues in light of Motors Liquidation Co.
  • Finding creditor consent
  • Identifying highest and best offers.
  • Reopening an auction.
  • Post-sale issues, such as structured dismissals without a plan.

O'Neil leads the firm's Bankruptcy, Business Restructuring and Creditor Rights group. He helps business owners, lenders and other stakeholders when companies are in transition. Since 1986, O'Neil has focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, debt refinancing and restructuring, business workouts and turnarounds, and a full range of other business matters, including fraudulent transfer and successor liability litigation resulting from deals that turned sour.
