Bautista, Bowers and Zbiegien Speak at FBA 2014 Annual Meeting and Convention

Cleveland litigation partners Philip R. Bautista, Charles A. Bowers and Michael J. Zbiegien spoke at the Federal Bar Association’s 2014 Annual Meeting and Convention in Providence, R.I., on Sept. 4-5. Their topic was “Litigating in the Brave New World — Remedying Cyberattacks and Data Breaches.” The presentation addressed the trending topic of cyberattacks and data breaches, how they are negatively impacting businesses, and the consequential litigation and other options for remedying them.

Bautista has extensive experience in matters involving intellectual property. He advises clients on the management of their trademark portfolios and on the protecting and licensing of their brands. He has litigated numerous cases involving patents, copyrights and trade secrets.

Bowers practices in the areas of cybersecurity and appellate advocacy, commercial and business litigation, white collar criminal defense, employment discrimination claims, products liability defense, professional negligence defense, insurance coverage and class actions.

Zbiegien represents companies in nationwide class actions, consumer issues, employment issues and insurance rates. He has experience in disputes related to technology issues, intellectual property, social media and cybersecurity issues.
