Litigating in the “Brave New World” — Remedying Cyberattacks and Data Breaches

The seminar will address the trending topic of cyberattacks and data breaches, how they are negatively impacting businesses, and the litigation and other options for remedying them.

Taft Speakers:
David H. Wallace, partner and co-chair of the firm’s Litigation group, practices in the area of complex business litigation, including national class action litigation, intellectual property litigation, Fair Credit Reporting Act litigation, cybersecurity matters, employment litigation and construction law. 

Philip R. Bautista is a partner with extensive experience in matters involving intellectual property. He advises clients on the management of their trademark portfolios and on the protecting and licensing of their brands. He has litigated numerous cases involving patents, copyrights and trade secrets.

Michael H. Diamant's practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property, trade secret, and computer-related law issues. He has litigated technology and computer-related matters before numerous courts and arbitration panels.

Michael J. Zbiegien represents companies in nation-wide class actions, consumer issues, employment issues, and insurance rates. He has experience in disputes related to technology issues, intellectual property, social media and cybersecurity issues.

Guest speaker John Kneiss is underwriting manager at Chubb Specialty Insurance. He currently manages the Northern Ohio underwriting operations and is responsible for all specialty lines of business, including the fastest-growing new product offering, Cybersecurity. Chubb’s Cybersecurity policy is the chosen solution by the American Hospital Association and the American Bar Endowment.
