« Back Taft Expands Government Contracts Law Practice with Addition of Barbara Duncombe and Suzanne Sumner

Taft's Government Contracts Law Practice has expanded with the addition of four attorneys, led by partners Barbara A. Duncombe and Suzanne Sumner.  Together, they bring to the firm a wealth of knowledge and experience with the government contract procurement process, at the Federal, state, local and international level to provide a full-service practice to Fortune 100 companies as well as to entrepreneurial, privately-held non-profit and governmental clients.
 
For over 25 years, Duncombe has worked with clients to address questions or problems with public contract formation, performance, administration, payment, and dispute resolution. She has represented prime contractors, subcontractors, and public buyers. Her experience focuses on analysis of contract problems and their resolution through discussion, claims, and other dispute forums/processes including Alternative Dispute Resolution as well as litigation before the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Boards of Contract Appeals and Federal and state courts.
 
Sumner assists prime contractors, subcontractors and public buyers with nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements, supply agreements, solicitations, contracts, subcontracts, name changes and novations. She also assists clients with federal government contract compliance reviews and internal company investigations.  Sumner represents clients in arbitration disputes, bid protests before agencies and the GAO, and the filing and litigation of claims before Federal courts and boards of contract appeals.
