« Back Attorney Catherine Dunlay Joins Taft’s Health and Life Sciences Practice Group in the Firm’s Columbus Office

COLUMBUS, OHIO (August 3, 2009) – Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP announced today that attorney Catherine T. Dunlay has joined the firm’s Health and Life Sciences Practice Group as a partner in its Columbus office.
 
Dunlay’s practice is devoted to representation of hospitals, physicians and other health care organizations in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other contractual alliances, including hospital-physician relationships; acquisition of physician practices; purchase/sale of hospitals and freestanding facilities; formation of cardiology, imaging and surgical joint ventures; establishment of shared diagnostic facilities; negotiation of various management relationships; and establishment of clinical co-management agreements. She also counsels clients on operational and compliance matters.

She graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati and earned her law degree with honors from the Ohio State University College of Law, where she was managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal.

Dunlay holds leadership positions in the American Health Lawyers Association and, in addition, she serves as a trustee of both the St. Vincent Family Centers and the Central Ohio Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. She is a frequent speaker at national health law conferences on topics such as hospital acquisition of physician practices, hospital-physician joint ventures and regulatory issues.
