Matthew T. Viola, Taft Attorney, Elected General Counsel by The Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club

Cleveland, OH – Matthew T. Viola, an associate in Taft's Cleveland office, has been elected General Counsel by the Board of Directors of The Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club. The Club, a non-profit organization created to retain young professionals in Greater Cleveland, provides events focused on both personal and professional development. It offers educational, networking and social events, as well as philanthropic opportunities to its more than 1,100 members.
Viola will provide legal counsel as needed to the organization and its members, integrating attorneys from Taft as necessary. His tenure lasts for one year.
As a member of the Real Property Practice, Viola handles the acquisition and development of commercial and residential property, financing arrangements and the drafting and negotiation of all types of contracts and commercial leases. Viola is also involved with the firm's General Business, Family Business Planning, and Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Groups.
Viola was also one of a select group appointed by his peers as a 2009 Super Lawyers Rising Star, as published by Law & Politics, Cincinnati Magazine and Northern Ohio Live. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. for Autism, an Ohio non-profit corporation.
