May 13, 2008

Cincinnati, OH, May 13, 2008 – Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP recently welcomed two new associates, Shannon F. Eckner and Sonya S. Jindal. Eckner joins Taft as an attorney in the Litigation Department, focusing on domestic relations, and Jindal becomes a new associate in the Tax Department.

“I always knew I wanted to practice law,” said Eckner. “I found my prior work in domestic relations at Phyllis G. Bossin Co., L.P.A. to be extremely fulfilling, giving me a real sense of helping people.” Eckner graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, in 2003, and magna cum laude from University of Cincinnati with a B.A. in English literature in 2000. She is currently involved with the American Bar Association Section of Family Law, the Ohio State Bar Association, Family Law Committee, and the Cincinnati Bar Association Domestic Relations Committee.

Jindal received her bachelor’s degree in finance at Xavier University in 2003, her J.D. degree at Vanderbilt University Law School and J.D.-LL.M degree in taxation at Northwestern University School of Law in 2007. “One reason I was drawn to Taft is their focus on community involvement,” said Jindal. “My interest and expertise in the tax field are an excellent fit for working with tax-exempt organizations.”
