Cincinnati, OH – Richard L. Ferrell III, an attorney in the Bankruptcy and Debtor/Creditor Rights Practice Group of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, has successfully completed the requirements for national certification in business bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification (ABC). The American Board of Certification is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public and improving the quality of the bankruptcy and creditor rights bar. The ABC is co-sponsored by The American Bankruptcy Institute and the Commercial Law League of America.
Ferrell, a resident of Mason, received his undergraduate degree from High Point University in North Carolina and his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law. During law school, he served as a published member of the Editorial Board of the Akron Law Review and the Akron Tax Journal. Ferrell concentrates his practice on Chapter 11 reorganizations, loan restructuring and work-outs, and debtors and creditors rights including representation of corporate debtors, creditors committees, secured and DIP lenders, commercial real estate and equipment lessors and various trade creditors.
Ferrell is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, U.S. District Courts, Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.
