« Back Ashanta-Barker and Wakefield Represent Taft at ABA's Minority Counsel Program

May 8, 2008

On May 8-9, 2008, Brian Wakefield and Terrance Ashanta-Barker represented Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP at the American Bar Association’s Minority Counsel Program (“MCP”) in Seattle, Washington. MCP is designed to assist corporations and racially and ethnically diverse lawyers with developing mutually rewarding and beneficial business relationships through structured workshops and networking activities that promote professional interaction.

Scope of the MCP

The American Bar Association’s Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession organizes MCP.  MCP’s focus is to facilitate mutually beneficial business opportunities for corporate America and minority attorneys, by organizing strategic networking opportunities between corporate in-house counsels and minority attorneys. MCP has a twenty year history and remains one of the “best kept secrets” for corporations that desire to engage minority attorneys in a meaningful way and for minority attorneys who seek to foster relationships with prospective clients.
