Taft Indianapolis partner Kiamesha-Sylvia G. Colom will be a moderator during the ICSC+Law Symposium on Friday March 1, 2024. Colom will moderate a panel discussion on “Leasing 101 – Hot Topics” which will include the following customary provisions within leases: changes to force majeure since COVID, guaranty issues, broad use clause and issues with REAs and COREAS, common insurance issues, common LOI mistakes, and assignments.

Colom serves as the Real Estate practice group lead for the Indianapolis office. She focuses her practice in the areas of real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, sale leaseback transactions, and real estate municipality work), real estate lending and commercial finance transactions, and related business transactions. Colom serves on Taft’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and on the board of directors for the Eskenazi Health Foundation, Eskenazi Health Centers, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership (INHP), and LISC and has held numerous other past leadership positions.
