Summary

Cathy serves as the firm’s General Counsel. Cathy has spent most of her career at Taft. She practiced civil litigation at the firm for the first eight years of her career, handling all aspects of business litigation in state and federal courts, including trials and appeals. Cathy then served as a Senior Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Cincinnati before returning to Taft to serve in several senior leadership positions, including as the Practice Group Director of the Litigation Practice Group.  In that role, Cathy oversaw the administrative needs of the firm’s litigation attorneys, including developing and executing a strategic plan and other critical practice group initiatives. Cathy also served as Taft’s Director of Professional Development, creating and implementing the firm’s robust training programs for summer associates and associates, and overseeing the practice development resources for all attorneys. Cathy’s role as General Counsel involves handling all of the firm’s legal needs, including overseeing the local general counsel function in each of Taft’s principal offices.
