FRANK HALE STEWART is a retired partner and former chairman of the Labor and Employment section of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. He has frequently been listed in The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Stewart's current activities include mediation and arbitration. He has tried employment cases in the state and federal courts in every section of the country, and before most employment agencies. Mr. Stewart was management co-chair of the Sub-Committee on Disabilities of the EEO Committee of the American Bar Association. He served on President Clinton's Committee on Disabilities. Mr. Stewart is co-editor of the disability chapter of Schlei and Grossman's third edition of Employment Discrimination Law, the most-used employment text in this country. He has contributed to Sexual Harassment In Employment Law, a treatise edited by Barbara Lindemann (1992). Mr. Stewart serves on the American Arbitration Association's labor panels. In 1995, he attended The Harvard Mediation Workshop, and in 1997, attended The Harvard Law School's Advanced Mediation Workshop for Lawyers. Mr. Stewart graduated from Harvard College and from the University of Virginia School of Law where he was articles editor of the Virginia Law Review and a member of the Raven Society. From 2001-2005 he taught a seminar on mediation and arbitration at the University of Virginia School of Law. In 2005, he also taught a seminar course in South Africa in a program managed by the International Senior Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association.
