Gerald J. Rapien
GERALD J. RAPIEN became a member of the Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP Litigation Department after graduating from Notre Dame Law School in 1968, and he was elected to the firm's partnership in 1975. Jerry concentrated on personal injury, product liability, employer tort liability, pharmaceutical and medical device claims, insurance coverage, Qui Tam and other civil litigation cases in state and federal courts. He was the State Chair for Ohio and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, as well as a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Cincinnati, Kentucky, and American Bar Associations. He was an adjunct faculty member of the University of Cincinnati Law School and gave numerous continuing legal education presentations on trial practice, evidence and other litigation-related subjects. Jerry was listed in The Best Lawyers in America and was named an Ohio Super Lawyer by Cincinnati Magazine. He was also one of the recipients of the 2005 Trial Lawyer of the Year Award given by The Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (TLPJ) Foundation.
