JAMES V. MANIACE’s practice blends together advice on all aspects of business and corporate law with specialties in the real estate, oil and gas, and information technology law areas. In his practice, Mr. Maniace frequently serves as outside general counsel to companies of all sizes, including closely-held and family-owned companies.

Mr. Maniace has handled a variety of complex business and real estate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring and refinancing, and sales and exchanges of real property including financing. He also regularly represents court appointed receivers in the management and sale of complex real estate projects. In addition, Mr. Maniace represents landowners, developers, and companies in drilling and developing the oil and gas minerals beneath their properties.

In the information technology law area, Mr. Maniace has expertise assisting software and other technology vendors in protecting their intellectual property through defense against copyright infringement claims as well as enforcement of software licensing agreements.
