LISA AMATO REID is Of Counsel in the Cleveland office of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP where she devotes her practice to the defense of employers in Workers’ Compensation matters, including administrative, mandamus and appellate matters. Experienced in all facets of the law, she counsels clients on all self-insured issues including audits, complaints, permanent total and all related issues. In addition, she daily attends Workers’ Compensation hearings and manages client litigation.
Ms. Reid’s work experience was amassed over the years in association with notable Cleveland area law firms. In addition, she was employed by the Ohio Turnpike Commission, where she served as the Workers’ Compensation Administrator and Associate Counsel for two years. In this capacity, she converted the self-insured Workers’ Compensation program to a computer-based system, handled all claims’ administration and hearings, and managed the subrogation docket.
Ms. Reid is co-author of the following three articles: Martindale-Hubbell Law Digest, Workers’ Compensation Law Summary; Overview of Ohio Workers’ Compensation Law for Employers; and Defining the Court’s 4133.512 Jurisdiction, Ward v. Kroger Co., published by the Cleveland Bar Journal, November 2005.
Ms. Reid is a Trustee and former President of the Italian American Cultural Foundation. She is currently a Trustee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and a former Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section. She is also a former Trustee of the Self-Insurers' Group of Ohio, Inc.
