TRACI LITTLE is Of Counsel in Taft’s Health and Life Sciences and Business and Finance practice groups. Her practice includes all aspects of health law with particular emphasis on regulatory compliance and business transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, she served over 7 years as in-house counsel for one of the world’s largest medical device companies dedicated to less-invasive medicine. During her tenure, she served in a number of roles, including counsel to the sales corporation consisting of the US sales force and supporting corporate departments, divisional counsel to the largest division, and counsel to the corporate sales operation group responsible for US sales contracting. She has extensive experience with a full range of medical device manufacturer and distribution issues including corporate compliance/internal investigations, sales contracting, sales programs and operations, labeling/advertising materials, consultant relationships, company-sponsored grants and charitable contributions, and warranties.
In private practice, Ms. Little has experience representing a wide range of health care providers with regulatory compliance matters, including licensure, Medicare/Medicaid certification, response to survey findings, administrative appeals, changes of ownership, service and supply agreements, and compliance with licensure, certification, and accreditation requirements. Prior to her firm experience, Ms. Little served as Policy Analyst for the Indiana Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning in a home health care dedicated role and as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for a large, privately-owned health care management company that operates nursing, residential care, and assisted living facilities. She has also served 7 years as Consumer Member on the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
Ms. Little earned her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1998 and her B.S. in business administration and marketing, with highest distinction, from Indiana University – South Bend in 1985.
